## Exploring the Artistic Journey: A Deep Dive into My Paintings

Art has always been a profound medium for expressing personal experiences, emotions, and reflections. Through my collection of paintings, I have captured moments of serene beauty, historical significance, and personal milestones. Let’s embark on a journey to explore the stories and inspirations behind each of these works.

### Twilight Mirror

**Medium:** Watercolour

"Twilight Mirror" is the first painting in my watercolour series, depicting the serene and almost mystical reflection of land in the sea. The gentle hues of twilight, blending into the calm waters, create a mirror-like effect, symbolizing the harmony and balance between earth and water. This piece captures the essence of a tranquil moment where the boundaries between reality and reflection blur.

### Sparkle and Scotland

**Medium:** Watercolour

In "Sparkle and Scotland," I have immortalized a cherished memory of my yacht, Sparkle, departing a loch in Scotland. The painting captures the rugged beauty of the Scottish landscape, with the yacht symbolizing freedom and adventure. The interplay of light on the water and the majestic surroundings evoke a sense of nostalgia and wanderlust.

### Henry 1

**Medium:** Watercolour

"Henry 1" holds a special place in my heart as it portrays my first black Labrador, Henry. Through this watercolour painting, I aimed to capture Henry's loyal and gentle nature, emphasizing the deep bond shared between a pet and its owner. The soft brushstrokes and warm tones reflect the affectionate memories of our time together.

### Alpha & Omega

**Medium:** Watercolour

"Alpha & Omega" records the extraordinary solar eclipse of March 20, 2015, off the coast of Cornwall in Lyonesse. This event was not only a celestial wonder but also a symbol of beginnings and endings, perfectly encapsulated in the title. The painting illustrates the dramatic play of light and shadow during the eclipse, creating a sense of awe and wonder.

### We the People

**Medium:** Oil

"We the People" is a profound piece that combines the historical significance of the US Constitution with a personal milestone of my first significant Stargate activation at Skellig Michael, Newgrange, and Avebury. This oil painting is rich in symbolism, intertwining themes of governance, spiritual awakening, and ancient history, creating a tapestry of past and present.

### Ecce Homo

**Medium:** Acrylic on Canvas

Created in Cape Town, South Africa, for a competition, "Ecce Homo" is an acrylic painting that explores the concept of the future human, as elaborated in my book, Ecce Homo. The artwork delves into the evolution of humanity, blending elements of science fiction and philosophical inquiry to present a vision of what humanity might become.

### The New Jerusalem Series

**Medium:** Watercolour

This series of watercolours, painted en plein air around the city of York, includes:

- **Revelations:** Depicting the apocalyptic visions of the future.

- **Xanadu:** An imaginative exploration of utopian dreams.

- **Rocket Ship:** Symbolizing the boundless possibilities of space exploration.

- **Gateway to New Jerusalem:** Representing the spiritual and physical journey to a divine city.

Each painting in this series reflects different facets of human aspiration and revelation, rendered in the vibrant and spontaneous medium of watercolour.

### Zen Glimpse of the Pure Land

**Medium:** Watercolour

"Zen Glimpse of the Pure Land" is an exploration of Zen Buddhist concepts, capturing a moment of pure, unadulterated presence. The minimalist composition and serene colour palette evoke a sense of peace and enlightenment, offering a meditative glimpse into the ideal of the Pure Land.

### The Ancient of Days

**Medium:** Mixed Media

In "The Ancient of Days," I utilized mixed media to depict the creation of the earth as an octagon, inspired by the geometry of the Giza pyramids. This piece merges ancient architectural wonders with cosmological themes, presenting a vision of creation that is both mystical and mathematical.

### This is a Dangerous Place

**Medium:** Watercolour

One of many in my Christopher Robin series, "This is a Dangerous Place" is based on E.H. Shepard's illustrations from the chapter "Expedition to the North Pole." This watercolour painting brings to life the whimsical and adventurous spirit of childhood, portraying the timeless charm of Winnie the Pooh’s world.

### Friendship

**Medium:** Watercolour

Another piece from the Christopher Robin series, "Friendship," captures a poignant moment when Eeyore comments on Tigger getting bitten by a bee. This painting celebrates the simple yet profound interactions between the beloved characters, emphasizing themes of friendship, empathy, and the innocent wisdom found in A.A. Milne’s stories.

Through these paintings, I invite you to share in the moments and inspirations that have shaped my artistic journey. Each piece is a reflection of my experiences, emotions, and the stories that have touched my life.

Karma Clearing

So the karma clearing exercise stage 2 was completed as it all fell into place

1 after Buttercrambe bridge, the signpost pointed incorrectly to Pocklington. I drove  from the Millington end and ended up outside Kilnwick Percy hall by the walled garden

2 I then remembered the dream of celestial music the came from the top of the lane towards Millington

3 after checking out the walled garden which grown up a lot since I lived at Madhyamaka and the wood where Ven Lodro used to have a caravan

4 I found a spot for the crystal by the road at the top of the rise where the music was coming from. After a short meditation to clear the ancient Karma ( Roman or Saxon times) buried the crystal and blessed with the holy water

5 Job done ! Now for a cup of coffee and tiffin at the world peace café, and a wander around Madhyamaka
